Almendra MCP server

The Almendra MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude and any other Model Context Protocol client work inside an Almendra account: find patients, build and send meal plans, search foods, create recipes and reschedule appointments, with the permissions the account owner chooses.

Connection details

• Server URL: https://api.almendra.io/mcp
• Transport: Streamable HTTP.
• Authentication: OAuth 2.1, no API key. Without a token the server answers 401 with WWW-Authenticate pointing to its metadata (https://api.almendra.io/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp, RFC 9728). Clients register with a Client ID Metadata Document.
• Who can connect it: the owner of an Almendra account on a paid plan. They choose the permissions on the consent screen and can disconnect it in Settings › Developers › ChatGPT and Claude.

Each tool shows up only if the account granted its permission.

Always in control

• Plans the assistant creates are saved as drafts, and it asks for confirmation before changing or sending anything.
• Lab results are never shared with AI assistants, even when clinical data is allowed.

How to connect it

• Claude: in Customize › Connectors, click +, choose Add custom connector and enter https://api.almendra.io/mcp.
• ChatGPT: in Plugins, click Add, choose Add custom MCP server, enter https://api.almendra.io/mcp and choose OAuth.
