To understand what a free-text meal plan is, we invite you to read the following article: **What is a Free-Text Meal Plan?**Adding recipes to a free-text meal plan is not done automatically as it is in a plan with a food search feature. Let’s look at the following image:

The goal is for the patient to see the ingredients and preparation for “Caesar Salad” in their plan (both PDF and App).To add recipes in this way, you need to write the recipe in the “Foods” field (point 1). See the third line where “Caesar Salad” is written.Note: You can write “1 serving of Caesar Salad” or “Caesar Salad with little lettuce” if you prefer. It’s flexible; just remember to write one food item per line.Click “Place” (point 2) and select the meals where you want to add what you wrote in the field from point 1. Once you’re done, click “Finish” (the button will be in the same place as the “Place” button).Click the button from point 3 and the following window will open:

Type “Caesar Salad” and press Enter or click the green magnifying glass. All the results will appear:

Click on Caesar Salad, and it will appear in the “Selected” column:

Repeat the process with each recipe in the meal plan and click the blue “Confirm” button. The patient will be able to see the instructions and ingredients of the recipes that are in the “Selected” column on their App and PDF.
